Entirely Smoke-Free Unit/Beach Peohe's on Coronado Island, with a view of downtown San Diego across the bay. My favorite dish? Mahi Mahi Maia, sautéed with frangelica, bananas and macadamia nuts. There is a tourist village there to walk thru and the Ferry leaves from there to cross over to downtown. Old Town Mexican Cafe in Old Town San Diego, where the tortillas are handmade right in front of you and plenty of shops to walk thru after your meal. Favorite? Soft chicken taco and Hornito's margaritas on the rocks sitting at the bar. Stardust Donuts in Imperial Beach. They are open when they feel like it..and be sure to take small bills and get whatever is there...it's is all good. Night & Day 24 Hour Cafe in Coronado for a high-end juke box and funky counter-only diner atmosphere, where the cook is grilling right there in front of you. Favorite? Bacon cheeseburger..who could resist the aroma?. Ye Olde Plank Inn down the alley. The patrons there are as diverse as the music and almost everyone says hello. Directly downstairs is the Beach Club Grille , say hello to wait staff Robin and Linda, for me. Chicken kabobs and greek salad are my favs. Aroma Thai right across the street. Favorite? Cashew chicken on the lunch menu before 3pm. A walk to the end of the pier and back, the end to a perfect day.
